Metro Panel sets the bar with the completion of the stunning Anoka County Library renovations. Utilizing wall cladding, standing seam panels, and coping manufactured from zinc, this project is a showcase of how different applications of metal roofing can come together for a magnificent project. Finished in 2019, the renovation doubled the size of the 30-year old library and brought a modern aesthetic to the popular community meeting place. With square footage increasing from 6,300 to over 13,000 the Anoka library will certainly be able to fit in a few more books.
Zinc is traditionally known for its beautiful natural finish complemented by self-healing properties. Additionally, zinc alloys will patina over time, constantly giving the building a unique appearance that is sure to captivate any onlookers. With proper fabrication and installation, zinc alloys can be expected to last for over 100 years. All of this made zinc a wonderful material choice for the library to be a community highlight.
