CMG is seeking a Operations Manager for our Salt Lake City location. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall general administration and production management of this facility.
Responsibilities
- Overall operations management, administration and coordination with corporate headquarters
- Coordinate production, scheduling, distribution, warehousing and selling activities in accordance with policies and procedures established by CMG
- Work closely with the sales team to provide consistent and responsive service to the customers
- Maintain solid relationships with customers and vendors
- Organize facilities for most efficient usage for equipment, material, production and distribution operations
- Responsible for ordering stock and maintaining proper inventory levels
- Monitor and manage location’s inventory control, including on-hand balance adjustments, stock location maintenance, returns and yearly physical inventory
- Coordinate operational activities with other production and distribution centers to ensure the continued and timely flow of material transfers and deliveries
- Maintain building/grounds and company trucks; and overall building security
- Responsible for keeping the location in compliance with all safety and environmental codes
- Maintain accurate paperwork including invoices, credit memos, purchase orders, transfers, daily and monthly reports
Qualifications
- Prior experience managing and leading a production warehouse
- Prior experience in operational and facilities management
- A background in building materials, customer service, data entry, and sales support is recommended
- Experience in operating a forklift
- Computer literacy and proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and a Windows operating environment is essential
- Strong mathematical skills and understanding
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
